Mind and Disposition.

Angry mood and quarrelsome.

Obtuseness of the senses.

Vanishing of thought on reflection.

Head.

Pressing headache in the forehead and on the vertex, as if pressed asunder, with pressure on the eyeballs and sleepiness ; worse in the evening or while entering a room from the cold air or vice versa.

[5] Congestion of blood to the head, sensation of fulness and enlargement of the head.

Headache with nausea and sleepiness.

The headache is caused or aggravated by a change of temperature.

Eyes.

Sensation of soreness and smarting in the eyes and corners of the eyes.

Pressure in the eyes.

Ears.

[10] Stitches in the ears (in the evening).

Spasmodic sensation in and around the ears.

Nose.

Redness and inflammatory swelling of the nose, with tension.

Scabs in the nostrils.

Face.

Dry heat in the face, with redness of the cheeks.

[15] Tingling in the face, especially on the nose and chin.

Spasms of the lips.

Mouth and Throat.

White saliva in the mouth, tasting like copper.

Accumulation of tough mucus in the throat.

Scraping burning in the throat, and on the roof of the mouth.

Stomach and Abdomen.

[20] Spasmodic hiccough.

Nausea in the afternoon and evening, sometimes with headache.

Sensation of soreness and burning in the pit of the stomach, especially to the touch.

Sensation of soreness in the hypochondria, especially to the touch.

Stitches in the region of the liver, extending up into the chest.

[25] Pulsations in the left hypochondrium.

Colic and cutting pains in the abdomen, and when pressing on it the sensation as if every thing were sore and bruised.

Burning soreness in the abdomen (chronic inflammation).

Great tenderness of the abdomen to the touch.

Urinary Organs.

Ulcers in the bladder.

Sexual Organs.

[30] Women. Acrid, corroding leucorrhoea.

Respiratory Organs.

Breathing short and oppressed, with pains in the chest, and inclination to draw a long breath.

Pains in the chest as if sore, as from subcutaneous ulceration, or rheumatic soreness of the intercostal muscles.

Stitches in the chest (right side of the chest extending to the liver).

The external soreness of the chest is aggravated by touch, motion, and from stretching the body.

[35] Adhesion of the lungs (after inflammation).

Back.

Stitches in and between the shoulder-blades.

Extremities.

Upper. Spasmodic, rheumatic pains in the arms.

Stitches in the arms and hands.

Herpes in the palms of the hands.

[40] Herpes or blue blisters on the fingers.

Tingling in the fingers.

Cold hands.

Lower. Cracking in the joints (knee).

Drawing pains in the thighs, extending downwards.

[45] Stinging and soreness in the feet and toes.

Generalities.

Rheumatic and arthritic soreness, with stitches over the whole body.

Trembling of the limbs, with dyspnoea (after anger).

Twitching of the muscles.

Epileptic attacks.

[50] Sudden weakness, with fainting.

Sleep.

Sleeplessness often from dyspnoea, heat and ebullitions.

Cannot lie on the side.

Fever.

Pulse full, hard and rapid in the evening ; slower in the morning ; chill predominates, with heat in the face ; worse in the afternoon and evening.

Chilliness and heat in the face after dinner.

[55] He feels the chilliness especially in the open air, and on the well-covered chest.

The fever consists only of a chill.

Heat in the evening, especially on the face ; frequently only on the right side, with cold hands (and feet).

Heat, with internal chill at the same time.

Perspiration very scanty, and only in the morning on waking.

Skin.

[60] Vesicular eruptions, as from burns.

Burning, itching, dark-blue vesicles in clusters, and a herpetic scurf, like horn.

Flat, burning, stinging ulcers, with ichorous discharge.

Horny excrescences.

Herpes over the whole body.

[65] Aggravation in the evening, and after eating ; from change of temperature, from touch, motion, from stretching the body.
