Scarlatininum.

The nosode of Scarlatina or Scarlet Fever.

Clinical.-Albuminuria. Nephritis. Scarlet fever. Skin affections. Throat, sore.

Characteristics.-Scarlatinin has been used, like other nosodes, for the prevention and for cure of the disease from which it takes origin. But its well-known affinity for the skin, throat and kidneys suggests its applicability for affections of those organs.

Relations.-Bell. is the nearest analogue and should be its antidote, and the various Mercuries come next. Compare also: Apis, Arsen., Rhus, Morbillin, Diphtherinum.
