Mind and Disposition.

Absence of mind.

Depression of spirits ; desire for solitude.

Fear of being left alone, as if something horrible might happen.

Angry about one's self, and does not wish to be spoken to.

Head.

[5] Vertigo ; falls forward.

Pain in the cerebellum, right side.

Fulness in the head, as ; if all the blood were collected in it ; fears ; apoplexy ; with cold hands.

Violent pain in the vertex (afternoon), as if the brain were shaking, with nausea which prevents her from keeping the head quiet.

Congestion of blood to the head on stooping.

[10] Stinging headache, with sleeplessness.

Weight in the forehead ; pain in the forehead.

Lancinating headache -first in the left side of the head, extending to the right side.

Face.

Dark complexion.

Lancinations from the root of the nose to the ear.

[15] Redness and swelling of the right cheek, with chilliness all over the body.

Redness, heat and formication in the right cheek.

Swelling of the face, extending to the right side of the nose.

Red blotches on the bloated face.

Eyes.

Stye at the left eye, with lancination.

[20] Tickling and red streaks of the sclerotica.

Large red, fiery spots before the eyes ; red bar before the eyes, when opening them.

Dryness and burning in both eyes on waking ; bloated around the eyes in the morning.

Eyes red and inflamed ; blear-eyed.

Glassy look.

When closing the eyes every thing looks red ; dotted with black points.

[25] Violent itching in the left eye.

Aversion to light.

Desire to close the eyes.

Ears.

Buzzing in the right ear.

Crackling in the ears, on swallowing.

Itching in the ear.

[30] Cerumen black and hardened.

Illusions of hearing ; hears whistling and ringing ; imagines he hears some one talk.

Discharge of a serous fluid or greenish-yellow liquid from the (left) ear (in the morning).

Discharge of blood from the ear.

Nose.

Bad smell from the nose.

[35] Stoppage of the nostrils ; coryza from the least current of air.

White and watery mucus is discharged from the nose.

Mouth and Throat.

Tongue black or dark-red.

Tongue swollen and whitish in the morning.

Pricking at the tip of the tongue.

[40] The beverage is arrested in the oesophagus, as from a spasmodic contraction of this organ.

Constriction, with pressure in the throat.

Stomach and Abdomen.

Vomiting of green bile, followed by diarrhoea.

Acidity of the stomach, with nausea and faint feeling ; sour eructations.

Violent thirst ; cold feeling in the chest after drinking.

[45] Hunger, with violent headache if not satisfied at once.

Vomiting of mucus, with fainting.

Fruit and cold drinks feel like ice in the stomach.

Burning in the stomach.

Weight in the stomach, with nausea, after eating.

[50] Sudden pains in the stomach, as if she must sink down ; worse while sitting, better on walking about.

Lancinations from both groins to the symphysis pubis.

Colic, with urging to stool.

The intestines feel twisted, as if by a cord, and strung together in a knot, with strangulating sensation.

Formication at the anus, as if from worms.

[55] Sensation as if the blood in the abdomen were flowing backward.

Stool and Anus.

Diarrhoea, blackish, frothy, yellowish, watery, with mum and rumbling ; bile ; bloody mucus.

Discharge of black, liquid blood from the bowels and at stool, with colic and sensation as if the bowels were twisted.

Prolapsus ani.

Constriction of the sphincter, after bloody stool.

Urinary Organs.

[60] Red urine, with cloudy sediment.

Thick urine, with red sediment.

Suppression of urine ; strangury.

Discharge of mucus from the urethra.

Sexual Organs.

Men. Impotence.

[65] Weight and swelling of the testes.

Discharge of prostatic fluid.

The skin of the prepuce is thick and inflamed.

Women. Discharge of black blood between the menses.

Weight at the uterus ; at the vagina, after an hysteric attack.

[70] Itching in the vagina ; formication at the vulva.

Respiratory Organs.

Dry cough, which ends in raising black blood.

Taste of blood in the mouth, before coughing.

Spitting of black blood, with painful tearing, as if proceeding from the heart.

Constriction of the chest.

[75] Stitches in the upper part of each lung ; better when walking.

Stitches in the left side of the chest ; worse when breathing.

Oppressed breathing in the evening.

Palpitation of the heart, with anxiety and trembling of the hands.

Back and Neck.

Lancinations in the whole spinal marrow, from the occiput to the sacrum.

[80] Pressure between the shoulders.

Coldness in the back.

Pain in the back, with chilliness, cold feet and strangury.

Stiffness in the right side of the neck.

Lancinations in the left side of the neck.

[85] Painful pressure at the nape of the neck.

Extremities.

Upper. Itching under the axilla, with tetter.

The arms and hands are swollen, bluish, covered with red spots ; also the right leg and foot.

Crampy constriction at the bend of the elbow, extending to the hand, as if one had carried a heavy weight.

Pricking in the left upper arm.

[90] Hot rash on the right wrist.

The right hand feels as if paralyzed.

The tips of the fingers peel off.

Lower. Cramps in the calves.

Icy coldness of the right leg.

[95] Rheumatic pains in the left leg.

Sensation of spraining and stiffness in the knee-joint.

The left foot is swollen and blue, with red spots.

Pinking under the toe nails.

Sleep.

Sleeplessness from lancinating headache.

[100] Dreams of business, of dead persons.

Fever.

Sensitive to cold.

The arm shudders when dipping the hand into water.

Coldness in the back.

Dry heat, at midnight ; cannot endure any cover.

[105] With the fever, oppression of breathing.

Flushes of heat in the evening, with redness and heat of the face and ears.

Chill at noon, without thirst, followed by dry heat in the afternoon, without perspiration.

Cold perspiration all over.

Skin.

Red pimples at the tips of the fingers.

[110] The tips of the fingers peel off.

Little pimples, followed by desquamation.

Yellow spots on the hands and fingers.

Red tetter from the corner of the right nostril to the cheek.

Conditions.

The rheumatic pains begin on the left side.

[115] Fainting, with vomiting of mucus, or on stooping.

A change of position is painful.
